Series of double exposure photographs co-produced with Paul Blakemore for an exhibition entitled ‘Well Trodden Wrong Ways”. The photographs depict parts of the East Devon Jurassic Coastline. The work is produced by sequential photographs being taken on 35mm film. For this instance, Blakemore took 36 images on film whilst walking and exploring the coast path. The film was then physical rewound and given to Lathwood to take another 36 images in the same location. The resulting images are unpredictable merges of composition where light and subject are vying for focus. This methodology was initiated and developed by Blakemore and photographer Karen Dews in 2013 and is part of a larger project called REWIND.
