Interference
-
Aluminium and vinyl.
"Interference" is a large moiré pattern (or interference pattern) situated on the water of a 12th century Market Garden within the Etang de Clermont site of the Hortillionnages. The artwork consists of two panels which lineup and become animated when visitors pass on their boats. This illusion references the movement of water, which shapes and forms the Hortillonnages. Interference reflects on the curious balance between the natural evolution of the landscape and the historic human intervention that created this unique location. Through this work I want visitors to consider the importance and power of water and enjoy this distinctive environment. -
